Java.exe out of memory error? - pbx connection

We have a Java application that manages our call center connected to the plant. Occasionally, he gets a memory error in the cmd line appears completely blocked and its implementation. Then they were run down and restarted, then it would be nice. Our switch in BAT was with Xmx512m. My idea was to give Xmx1g this increase to a higher ceiling. When I received the switch Xms1g and I think that, because the memories associated with this application Sytem. When I received it only 5-10 minutes to a memory error. Why do I get the error message most often when I lifted the Xmx? The java.exe process only slightly slower growing and growing every day. Some tips to make it more stable would be appreciated. I also would not mind paying someone who does not know Java and JAR files to search our system and tell us what the problem is.my dkimberlin@bluefishtv.com E-mail

You have what is known in programming as a memory leak. The application is in the temporary memory, but forgets to give back when it's over. Something like a neighbor with a lawn mower, do not forget that for the return, but forget they have it. Finally, the whole neighborhood out of the mower.

This is definitely a software problem, and what you can do more than if a developer would come and fix it, add to and restart the application before it to relieve the dying. At least this way can avoid accidental interference and potential data loss or corruption of data due to collisions of control. Yes, it stinks.

Good luck.

In fact, at issue here, a memory leak. Increasing the memory can not help because the kernel has a limit of RAM, can be affected by a process may have. So, if the limit was 256, irrespective of who has 512 or 1024 MB.

Since the application in Java, garbage collection has written, it should be a big mistake. My only advice is - hire programmers who know what they really are.

Java is the language that has done everything for you, also free memory. It is not acceptable for the implementation of a severe loss of memory, which grows indefinitely.
